The Maxi is an exhaust vent. It works best paired with a side intake such as The Original or The Crossflow, so air is drawn through the canopy rather than sitting still.

How it works

Warm air rises and collects at the top of a closed canopy. The Maxi gives it a way out: air passes through the filter and screen and exits through the vent face, while the filter keeps dust and insects from tracking back in. The larger opening moves more air than The Mini for the same passive setup. Because it is passive, airflow depends on having an intake elsewhere in the canopy.

Fitting

A hole-marking template is supplied, so the round cutout and the 5 mm bolt holes can be marked accurately before you cut. The main cutout can be anywhere from 105 mm to 108 mm, so either a 105 mm or a 108 mm hole saw will do. Printed instructions are included in the box.
